Protecting the health and safety of our staffs and ensuring work efficiency are our priorities when the pandemic starts in the UK. Following the government’s instruction, we have implemented prompt action plan. Known as a trusted total telecoms and IT partner with 15 years of expertise, we believe in our experience to make it work for ourselves and for our customers using the tech solutions we have, and until now, everything has been running smoothly just the same as when we are working at the office. And soon, we will be able to work in the office again, but what will the situation look like when going back to the new normal?

At the beginning

To fulfill our social responsibility as a company and to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus as much as possible (to provide protection especially for vulnerable groups), we decided to roll out our disaster preparedness and business continuity plans. As a telecoms and IT solutions company, we understand that adapting to digital is the answer to ourselves and to all businesses during the pandemic to ensure business continuity. With just from one to two people working remotely, we have everyone working from home now by using one of our VoIP for business solution, in which we have always been using for both internal and external communications.

Back to the new normal?

Returning to the new normal would definitely be an exciting change for us, since staying this lockdown really makes us miss the actual human interactions we have at the office, and we are proud to provide a comfortable working environment for all staff to feel positive and proactive to devote themselves. We believe effective communication is the key, not just as a tech company proving communications solutions to businesses, but as a team ourselves, we find it vital to maintain a smooth flow of communication for a business to survive no matter what the situation is. That the pandemic causing everyone to work from home surely changed our style of working, as our post Covid-19 plan should outline some sort of balancing between working from home and at the office for all staff, because work efficiency is still ensured and it helps saves time and effort coming to the office every day. And of course, we acknowledge that the purpose of using technology is to augment, not to replace completely the actual human interaction.

Other measures are also taken into account when we gradually go back to work. All hygiene measures are still followed for mutual and private areas, as employees are encouraged to clean their workspace in the office more regularly. Moreover, keeping a safe distance in the office is also recommended when interacting with colleagues.

There is not much we could be sure of the future, and this Covid-19 is an example of such when it gives us a new normal with valuable learnings. With the world full of uncertainty, preparation is one that we could ensure doing our best to overcome all challenges that await.
